CAPE DREAMS – SOUTH AFRICA – AFRICA

Cape Dreams Wines is located in the Robertson Valley, known as the Valley of Roses and Wine and approximately 140 km from Cape Town.
Robertson Valley is characterized by cold winters and sunny summers, with an average annual rainfall of 350 – 400 mm. The dry climate and invigorating breeze minimize pests while the soil, with the highest free limestone content in South Africa is ideal for winemaking. The Indian and Atlantic oceans that surround the Cape bring cool breezes, wind and fog. All of this contributes to the unique microclimates in the Cape Winelands.
South Africa has one of the oldest wine making histories in the world, dating back to around 500 million years ago while wine production was started over 350 years ago.
