Production area: Castagneto Carducci (Bolgheri DOC production area)
Climate: Mediterranean climate, microclimate characterized by the proximity of the sea and the protection of the Metalliferous hills to the east, by mild winters, hot, dry and breezy summers thanks to the sea breezes.
Soil: loose, deep, gravelly and well-drained soil.
Plant density: 5,500 vines per hectare.
Training system: spurred cordon and guyot.
Average age of the vines: 2000 plants.
Yield per hectare: 50 ql / Ha.
Vinification: careful selection during manual harvesting. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature (T°=28° C). Malolactic fermentation in 1st passage French oak barrels and 12 months in the bottle.
Aging: 18 months in 1st and 2nd passage French oak barriques and 12 months in bottle.

Tasting Notes
Sample with an intense ruby red color, impenetrable, with a good consistency.
The nose immediately expresses its character. Complex in the bouquet of its hints that open with floral notes reminiscent of a pot pourri of red flowers, followed by fruity hints where the cherry in alcohol emerges. Closing of undergrowth and a nuance of licorice completes it.
In the mouth what is perceived with the olfactory examination is confirmed. The sip is rich, balanced in its components, well structured, with a well-smoothed, important, but not aggressive tannin. Very persistent finish.
It is recommended in combination with wild boar stew with stewed vegetables.
