MASSERIA DEL FEUDO – SICILIA – ITALIA

In the heart of Sicily, in the province of Caltanissetta, Masseria del Feudo produces wines according to organic farming.

The history of the company dates back to over a hundred years ago when Salvatore Cucurullo, great-grandfather of the current owners, the brothers Francesco and Carolina, bought the land of the Princes Branciforti feud in the early twentieth century.

Today, the company has a total area of 110 hectares, along which vineyards (18 hectares), olive groves and orchards extend. The vineyards favor the indigenous of the area (grillo, inzolia and Nero d’Avola) but there are also chardonnay and syrah.

The cellar has a total capacity of 2,000 hectoliters. The air-conditioned barrel room houses 100 French oak barriques, of different toasts, each of which has a capacity of 225 liters.
