Niepoort is an independent family business with over a century and a half of history. Five generations have succeeded at the helm of Niepoort since Franciscus Marius Niepoort founded the company in 1842.
The company owns vineyards in several locations, some with vines that are more than 100 years old, and an aging room in the town of Vila Nova de Gaia.
