The Velvet Devil 2019 – Charles Smith Wines

The Velvet Devil 2019 - Charles Smith Wines
Written by Piero Pardini

Wine: The Velvet Devil
Variety composition: 100% Merlot.
Denomination: Washington State.
Alcoholic strength: 13,5% vol.
Vintage: 2019.
Serving temperature: 16° – 18° C.

Tasting Notes
Limpid, with an intense, deep coat and good consistency.
An olfactory range typical of the vine, with intense aromas and fine quality. There remains a scent of dark berries and hard cherries, intertwined with hints of sweet tobacco and nuances of undergrowth.
The sip is opulent, rich and very pleasant. Smooth and silky tannin. Long finish of ripe fruit, with a very light balsamic note.
A sample to pair with grilled meats.
