ELENA FUCCI – BASILICATA – ITALY

“The company was founded in 2000, to save the beautiful vineyards that surround the family home from being sold.
The vineyards, located at 600 meters above sea level at the foot of Monte Vulture, (a dormant volcano, but geologically still not extinct) for decades the 6 hectares of Aglianico del Vulture were cultivated with the sole purpose of selling the grapes on the regional market and even beyond.
The sale of the vineyards seemed the easiest solution, my dreams saw me far from my hometown, in the world to seek my fortune.
A sinking heart, however, made me upset with the plans of my life; my family’s sacrifices and efforts could not be nullified so easily.
Parallel to my university studies in Viticulture and Enology in Pisa, the project of investing in our territory took shape, focusing everything on a single wine, the Title, imagining it immediately as a serious A wine, a cru to best represent the characteristics Aglianico which in this area offer a unique terroir and microclimate “.
