BODEGAS EXOPTO – RIOJA – SPAIN
Founded in 2003, by the Frenchman Tom Puyaubert, with the aim of recovering old vineyards on the slopes of the Sierra Cantabria and Monte Yerga, Bodegas Exopto expresses the Rioja DOCa terroir, employing sustainable viticulture. The company is spread over about 22 hectares of vineyards, spread over more than 30 different lots. Most of the vines are over sixty years old and grow in a mix of calcareous and clayey soils. The company uses horse-drawn plows to turn the land, applying the concept of biodynamic agriculture in respect of nature.
