Viña Ijalba

Written by Piero Pardini

BODEGAS VIÑA IJALBA – SPAIN

The first vineyard was planted by Dionisio Ruiz Ijalba in 1975. The winery was founded in 1991. The winery is one of the first in Spain to be dedicated to the production of quality organic wines, following the traditional Rioja techniques and recovering the minority natives of the area. The particularity of the wines comes from the vineyard on poor soils, from the low productions, from these recovered varieties and from the applied ecological techniques.
