AROA BODEGAS – SPAIN
Aroa is the only winery in Navarra to hold the Climate Protection Cellars certificate, granted by the Spanish Wine Federation, for continuous improvement in emissions reduction, water management and waste reduction, and energy efficiency.
In the cellar, 100% of the company’s energy consumption comes from renewable sources.
In addition to the organic label, the cellar maintains a vegetable cover on the land, uses phytosanitary treatments (nettle, horsetail, sage), pruning and pomace matured outdoors.
The company is located in the Yerri Valley, one of the highest areas of the DO Navarra (500 m), cool, sheltered by the Urbasa and Andía mountains.
