Written by Piero Pardini

Wine: Colombaiolo
Variety composition: 100% Sangiovese.
Denomination: Brunello di Montalcino Riserva D.O.C.G..
Alcoholic strength: 14% vol.
Vintage: 2017.
Serving temperature: 18° – 20° C.

Tasting Notes
Limpid, with an intense ruby red color with evident garnet nuances, consistent.
With a broad olfactory bouquet, it opens with intense aromas of hard cherries and wild berries in jam, with light notes of orange. The olfactory range is completed by intense notes of hot spices, Mediterranean scrub herbs and in closing hints of cigar box.
The sip has character, important, with ripe and well-smooth tannin. Balanced in its parts, it shows all its structure and elegance. It gives an intense and persistent aftertaste of sweet spices and mineral hints.
