Ursa Major 2021 – Cantine Santa Barbara

Ursa Major 2021 - Cantine Santa Barbara
Written by Piero Pardini

Wine: Ursa Major
Variety composition: 80% Primitivo, 20% Negroamaro.
Denomination: Salento I.G.P..
Alcoholic strength: 14% vol.
Vintage: 2021.
Serving temperature: 18° – 20° C.

Tasting Notes
Limpid, with a carmine red color coat with evident garnet reflections, consistent.
On the nose it presents delicate floral scents, followed by fruity notes of small dark berries and dried plum. The range of aromas is completed by hints of sweet tobacco, undergrowth aromas and, in the finish, hints of aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean scrub.
The sip is enveloping. Supported by an almost silky tannin and a persistent aftertaste of ripe fruit and licorice root, it offers pleasantness and elegance.
A wine that tells the story of its terroir of origin.
