Written by Piero Pardini

Wine: Cavariola
Variety composition: 60% Croatina, Barbera, Ughetta di Canneto, Uva rara.
Denomination: Oltrepò Pavese D.O.C. Rosso Riserva.
Alcoholic strength: 15,5% vol.
Vintage: 2019.
Serving temperature: 16° – 18° C.

Tasting Notes
Limpid, with an almost impenetrable intense ruby red color, good consistency.
Upon olfactory examination it opens with a rich and intense bouquet of perfumes. Notes of ripe dark fruit give way to intense hints of spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg with puffs of freshly ground black pepper and powdered chocolate. Closing with a nuance of graphite and ink.
The sip is opulent, rich with a noble and very elegant tannin, supported by a perfect combination of freshness and flavor. The finish is long with an important aftertaste of noble spices and humus.
An important wine, long-lived expression of the territory of origin. A wine to be opened at least an hour before being tasted in order to better appreciate its aromatic range.
