Toccaculo 2020 - Battifarano
Written by Piero Pardini

Wine: Toccaculo
Variety composition: 100% Petit Verdot.
Denomination: Basilicata Rosso I.G.T..
Alcoholic strength: 14% vol.
Vintage: 2020.
Serving temperature: 18° – 20° C.

Tasting Notes
Limpid, with a very intense ruby red color, good consistency.
On the nose it offers a bouquet of broad and fine quality scents. In addition to intense floral notes, followed by aromas of small red berries such as currants and blueberries, hard cherries and dried plums. The olfactory range is completed by a scent of sweet spices such as vanilla, cinnamon and a light note of freshly ground black pepper. Closing with a hint of chocolate stick.
The sip is quite soft, with a good overall well-smoothed tannic texture. Persistent with a fruity aftertaste and a light balsamic note.
A pleasant wine, to be paired with any meal with traditional regional dishes.
