Garrigues 2020 – Montirius

Garrigues 2020 - Montirius
Written by Piero Pardini

Wine: Garrigues
Variety composition: 70% Grenache, 30% Syrah.
Denomination: Vacqueyras A.O.C..
Alcoholic strength: 14% vol.
Vintage: 2020.
Serving temperature: 14° – 16° C.

Tasting Notes
Limpid, with a very intense ruby red color, almost impenetrable, consistent.
The olfactory range is wide and intense. It opens with hints of ripe fruit, which mainly recalls small berries such as currants and blackberries, followed by notes of leather, completing the olfactory bouquet with a scent of aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean scrub.
The sip is important, supported by a good tannic texture. Wine with great taste-olfactory persistence leaves a pleasant aftertaste of undergrowth and medicinal herbs in the mouth.
