Marlborough Pinot Noir 2020 – Babich

Marlborough Pinot Noir 2020 - Babich
Written by Piero Pardini

Wine: Marlborough Pinot Noir
Variety composition: 100% Pinot Noir.
Denomination: Marlborough District.
Alcoholic strength: 13% vol.
Vintage: 2022.
Serving temperature: 16° – 18° C.

Tasting Notes
Limpid, ruby red in colour, with good consistency.
The nose opens with hints reminiscent of a pot pourri of red flowers, followed by aromas of small berries such as blackberry, raspberry, dried plum and wild strawberry. The olfactory bouquet is completed by hints of spices, the main one being nutmeg. A delicate nuance of smoke closes.
The sip is important, but equally elegant and soft. Good olfactory taste persistence with a fruity aftertaste and a hint of aromatic herbs and caramel.
A wine that is an expression of the territory of origin.
