Le Difese 2018 – Tasting Notes
Limpid, ruby red in colour, consistent.
Upon olfactory examination, it appears complex with hints: floral, fruity, mineral and toasted. It opens with intense notes of red flowers reminiscent of the inflorescence of wisteria and peony, followed by aromas of red fruits such as blackcurrant and cherry, a mineral note, final toasting of cocoa powder and nuances of aromatic herbs.
On the palate it is soft, with a good balance of its components, to be defined as harmonious. With a good persistent aromatic taste of fruit and aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean scrub.
It is recommended in combination with a risotto with porcini mushrooms.

Sample of ruby red color, lively, with good consistency.
The olfactory examination highlights floral notes of violet, followed by hints of ripe red fruits and cherry. An effluvium of scents reminiscent of myrtle and Mediterranean scrub and with a liquorice finish.
When tasted, the sip is rich, full and perfectly balanced. The tannic texture is silky, with a long closure reminiscent of a balsamic note. It is recommended in combination with a Florentine steak.

Le DIfese 2020 – Tasting notes
Upon visual examination in the glass, the sample is limpid, with a lively, consistent ruby red color.
On the nose it shows a bouquet of aromas that is quite complex. There are notes of wildflowers reminiscent of violet, hints of small red berries such as blueberry and currant, a note of morello cherry. Hints of dark tropical spices and scents of Mediterranean scrub complete the olfactory range.
The sip is harmonious, with a well-smoothed tannin and a good persistence on the nose. A sample ready to be tasted and appreciated, but with the possibility of further evolution. With a further refinement of two or three years, it will give us perfect harmony.
It is recommended in combination with traditional Tuscan grilled dishes.

The sip is balanced, with a well-smoothed and linear tannin. Good aromatic taste persistence, which gives an aftertaste of spices and fruit.
A wine of great versatility, an expression of the territory and of the company’s production style.
