Shardana 2020 - Cantina Santadi
Written by Piero Pardini

Wine: Shardana
Variety composition: 90% Carignano, 10% Syrah.
Denomination: Valli di Porto Pino I.G.T..
Alcoholic strength: 13,5% vol.
Vintage: 2020.
Serving temperature: 16° – 18° C.

Tasting Notes
Limpid, with a very intense, almost impenetrable ruby red color, and a consistent finish.
The bouquet is broad, enveloping, and intense. Floral notes reminiscent of a potpourri of red flowers are followed by intense aromas of small dark berries, cherry, and dried plum. The bouquet is rounded out by hints of spicy spices and a hint of vanilla.
On the palate, it is balanced, with substantial yet well-polished tannins. The finish is persistent, with a ripe fruit aftertaste.
A wine that expresses its terroir.
