VIÑEDOS HERMANOS HERNÁIZ – RIOJA – SPAIN

Since 1996, Hermanos Hernáiz has been managed by the two brothers, Eduardo and Víctor Hernáiz.
They are the ones who give shape and character to the whole production, telling the story of the family vineyards, through the fascinating terroirs of the Spanish region of La Rioja.
The vineyards extend over 101 hectares, with the name of Finca La Emperatriz. Here, the soil is made up of pebbles which prevent the soil from holding water reserves.
To best enhance the peculiarities of the territory, the company has opted for parcel viticulture. Thus, specific viticulture techniques were implemented for each plot. This differentiation according to the grape variety, the age of the vine, the microclimate or the exposure respects the earth and allows to obtain wines with different personalities.
