Nau 2018 – Mora&Memo

Variety composition: 100% Cannonau di Sardegna.
Alcoholic strength: 13.5% vol.
Vintage: 2018.
Classification: D.O.C..
Age of the vine: 30 years.
Exposure: South, South-East.
Altitude: 200-220 m. s.l.m..
Soil: clayey limestone of medium hill, rich in skeleton.
Vinification, maturation and refinement: maceration on the skins with the grafting of selected yeasts for about 8/10 days at a controlled temperature. After maceration, fermentation continues in stainless steel vats. At the end of fermentation, the product continues its refinement in stainless steel tanks and subsequent refinement in the bottle.
Serving temperature: 16-18 degrees by uncorking the bottle at least 30 minutes before serving.

Tasting Notes
Limpid, ruby red in color with violet reflections, consistent.
On the nose the sample is intense and complex in the variety of its aromas: floral, fruity, spicy and toasted. Pot purri of red flowers, notes of ripe red berry fruits such as currant and blueberry, spice of cinnamon and cloves, toast of coffee powder and cocoa powder.
The taste is fresh with a good tannic texture. A wine with fine and elegant aromas with good intensity and taste olfactory persistence.
It is recommended in combination with a medium-aged cheese platter.
