Baronne du Chatelard

BARONNE DU CHATELARD – FRANCE

Completely destroyed by a fire that left only the original vaulted cellars intact, Chatelarde Castle was rebuilt and then maintained by three families: the Severt, the de Bussières and the Mignot de Bussy.
The 28 hectares of vineyards were planted before 1955 and are located in the Beaujolais countryside. The company applies integrated and organic agriculture. The manual harvest of the grapes at full maturity, the integrated fight against the parasites of the vine, are some of the practices designed to produce grapes and, consequently, special wines.
