Le Petit Maxime 2020 – Château de la Gardine

Le Petit Maxime 2020 - Château de la Gardine
Written by Piero Pardini

Wine: Le Petit Maxime
Variety composition: Grenache, Syrah-Shiraz.
Denomination: Côtes-du-Rhône.
Alcoholic strength: 14% vol.
Vintage: 2020.
Serving temperature: 16° – 18° C.

Tasting Notes
Limpid, with a lively ruby red colour, good consistency.
The olfactory range is quite complex, quite intense but overall of good quality. It opens with hints of moderately withered red flowers, followed by aromas of small red berries and hard cherries. A delicate balsamic note completes the olfactory range.
In the mouth the sample offers a fresh sip, well balanced in its components. Good tannic texture, not intrusive at all. The aromatic taste persistence is fair, with an important aftertaste of slightly macerated ripe fruit.
An elegant and pleasant wine in harmony with the nature of the area.
