Taurasi Coste 2018 – Contrade di Taurasi

Coste 2018 - Contrade di Taurasi
Written by Piero Pardini

Wine: Taurasi Coste
Variety composition: 100% Aglianico.
Denomination: Taurasi D.O.C.G..
Alcoholic strength: 13,5% vol.
Vintage: 2018.
Serving temperature: 18° – 20° C.

Tasting Notes
Limpid, with an intense ruby red colour, almost impenetrable, with good consistency.
It opens with a wide olfactory range, of fine quality and good intensity. The traditional floral notes are followed by hints of dark and red pulp fruit, hints of undergrowth, aromas of rhubarb and a delicate mineral nuance in the finish.
The sip is pleasant, with a tannic texture that is still a little exuberant, given the “young” age, but undoubtedly of quality. On the palate it offers an aftertaste of berries embellished with a note of liquorice root.
A wine appreciated immediately, elegant, but with great potential for years to come.
