Ferrari – Tenute Lunelli

Written by Piero Pardini

FERRARI – TRENTINO ALTO ADIGE – ITALY

Founded in 1902, when Trento was a province of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Ferrari has maintained the appearance of a family business, completely owned by the Lunelli family who, in 1952, had acquired from the founder, Giulio Ferrari, a coriander from the cellar, not even ten thousand bottles a year.
Excellence has always been the guiding principle of every choice at Ferrari. Excellence that implies fidelity to the Classic Method as the only production process and to Trentino, with its extraordinary mountain viticulture, as the territory of choice for its vineyards. All the grapes destined to be transformed into Ferrari, Chardonnay and Pinot Nero, in fact, come from the slopes of the mountains of Trentino, and are grown in compliance with the Trentodoc disciplinary and strict company protocols aimed at guaranteeing sustainability.
