Poggio Colombi 2019 - Fattoria il Casalone
Written by Piero Pardini

Wine: Poggio Colombi
Alcoholic strength: 14,5% vol.
Vintage: 2019.
Classification: Cabernet Maremma Toscana D.O.C..
Grapes: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Petit Verdot.
Serving temperature: 16°-18°C.

Tasting Notes
Limpid, with a lively ruby red color, good consistency.
On the olfactory examination it gives a wide and complex bouquet of aromas. Floral notes, followed by hints of small red and dark berries, notes of sweet spices reminiscent of vanilla and cardamom, aromas of sweet tobacco and then closing with hints reminiscent of the Mediterranean scrub.
The sip is fresh, the various components well balanced, non-aggressive and well-polished tannins. Quite persistent with an aftertaste of spices and ripe fruit.
It is recommended in combination with traditional Tuscan meat dishes.
