Barolo La Serra 2019 - Voerzio Martini
Written by Piero Pardini

Wine: Barolo La Serra
Variety composition: 100% Nebbiolo, variety Michet.
Denomination: Barolo D.O.C.G.
Alcoholic strength: 14,5% vol.
Vintage: 2019.
Serving temperature: 16° – 18° C.

Tasting Notes
Limpid, with a garnet red coat, of good consistency.
The nose offers a range of aromas: complex, intense and fine quality. It opens with floral notes reminiscent of a pot pourri of moderately dried red flowers, accompanied by a note of small red berry fruits such as raspberry and currant, intertwined with aromas of wild strawberries and dried plum. The broad bouquet is completed by notes of spices and aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean maquis.
The sip is a pleasure for the palate, rich, opulent, with perfectly integrated and smooth tannins. Very persistent, an aftertaste of macerated wild berries remains.
Tried with deer medallions.
