Written by Piero Pardini

Wine: Vigne di Montornello
Variety composition: 100% Sangiovese.
Denomination: Chianti Classico D.O.C.G. Gran Selezione.
Alcoholic strength: 15% vol.
Vintage: 2020.
Serving temperature: 16° – 18° C.

Tasting Notes
Limpid, carmine red in color with light garnet nuances, consistent.
On the nose it is a whirlwind of floral, fruity and spicy notes. Pot pourri of red flowers, intertwined with a scent of small red berries: raspberry, currant, black cherry and corn cherry. Notes of freshly ground black pepper complete the olfactory range, followed by an addictive balsamic note.
The sip is round, perfectly balanced in its components. The sweet, silky tannin gives an important and elegant structure. A pleasant and persistent aftertaste of ripe fruit and notes of undergrowth remains in the mouth.
