Guado San Leo 2019 – D’Alfonso del Sordo

Guado San Leo 2019 - D'Alfonso del Sordo
Written by Piero Pardini

Wine: Guado San Leo
Variety composition: 100% Nero di Troia.
Denomination: Puglia I.G.P. Rosso.
Alcoholic strength: 14% vol.
Vintage: 2019.
Serving temperature: 16° – 18° C.

Tasting Notes
Limpid, with a ruby red coat with important garnet veins, good consistency.
The nose opens with hints that recall a potpourri of red flowers, followed by intense notes of ripe fruit: durone cherry, dried plum, blackberry jam. The olfactory range is completed by notes of toasting, hints of spices, in the finish a nuance of star anise and licorice.
The sip is rich and enveloping, structured and very tasty. With a persistent aftertaste of ripe fruit and puffs of spices.
