Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 2017 - Borgo Scopeto
Written by Piero Pardini

Wine: Chianti Classico Gran Selezione
Variety composition: 100% Sangiovese.
Denomination: Chianti Classico Gran Selezione D.O.C.G..
Alcoholic strength: 14,5% vol.
Vintage: 2017.
Serving temperature: 16° – 18° C.

Tasting Notes
Limpid, with a lively garnet red colour, consistent.
The nose is broad and intense. It opens with delicate floral notes intertwined with hints of black pulp fruit: blackcurrant, blackberry and hard cherry. Elegant hints of blood orange, sweet spices and a delicate nuance of powdered chocolate are highlighted.
The sip is rich and satisfying. The persistent aftertaste of ripe fruit blends perfectly with the important but well-smooth tannic texture. A harmonious sample with a perfect balance of its parts.
