Barbadirame 2021 - Maixei
Written by Piero Pardini

Wine: Barbadirame
Variety composition: 100% Rossese.
Denomination: Rossese di Dolceacqua Superiore D.O.C..
Alcoholic strength: 14% vol.
Vintage: 2021.
Serving temperature: 16° – 18° C.

Tasting Notes
Limpid, with a vivid ruby red color with light garnet hints, good consistency.
The olfactory bouquet is of fine quality, intense and broad. It opens with notes of red flowers reminiscent of violet and dog rose, followed by intense hints of small berries: blackberries and blueberries, but also important aromas of cherries in alcohol, embellished with notes of undergrowth and an intriguing note of aromatic herbs of the Mediterranean scrub.
The sip is enveloping, with a perfectly balanced and smooth tannic texture. Freshness and flavor give a sip of great elegance, corroborated by a good aromatic taste persistence with a fairly persistent fruity aftertaste with almost imperceptible hints of liquorice root.
