Vigna Mulino 2018 – Tenuta San Jacopo

Vigna Mulino 2018 - Tenuta San Jacopo
Written by Piero Pardini

Wine: Vigna Mulino
Variety composition: 100% Sangiovese.
Denomination: Valdarno di Sopra D.O.C..
Alcoholic strength: 14,5% vol.
Vintage: 2018.
Serving temperature: 18° – 20° C.

Tasting Notes
Limpid, with an intense ruby red color, good consistency.
On the nose it presents a discreet intensity of fine quality aromas. It opens with delicate notes of ripening red wild berries: raspberry, currant and hard cherry. Followed by hints of sweet tobacco and at the end a delicate and enveloping balsamic nuance.
The sip is warm, with a good tannic texture, overall well smooth and silky. Balanced in its components, it gives a fairly persistent aftertaste of ripe fruit.
