Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2015 - Fattoria dei Barbi
Written by Piero Pardini

Wine: Brunello di Montalcino Riserva
Variety composition: 100% Sangiovese.
Denomination: D.O.C.G..
Alcoholic strength: 14.5% vol.
Vintage: 2016.
Serving temperature: 18° C.

Tasting Notes
Intense ruby red, almost impenetrable, with garnet reflections.
On the nose the bouquet of aromas is complex, intense. The aromas follow one another in harmony: floral scents reminiscent of a pot pourri of red flowers, fruity notes of wild strawberry, blueberry and blackberry. Nuances of licorice and spicy hints of vanilla, cinnamon and cloves.
The taste olfactory examination confirms what is perceived on the nose, the perception of ripe fruit remains in the mouth and a balsamic note in the finish. The sip is rich, opulent, pleasant, persistent. It is recommended in combination with rabbit in porchetta.
