CANTINA CONVENTO MURI GRIES – TRENTINO ALTO ADIGE – ITALY

In 1845, a group of Benedictine monks from Muri, Switzerland, arrived in Gries, near Bolzano, where they took over the abbey of the Augustinian canons and with it also their centuries-old wine-making activity, giving life to a symbiosis between convent, cellar and vineyards which has remained intact to this day. Today, in the 21st century, the MURI-GRIES winery boasts excellent products, such as the wines of the “Abtei Muri” line, vinified exclusively from grapes from the estate’s finest vineyards since 1989.
