CANTINA VALLE ISARCO – TRENTINO ALTO ADIGE – ITALY

Cantina Valle Isarco was founded in 1961 by 24 farmers. Today, it has 130 associates who cultivate about 150 hectares that extend north to Novacella / Bressanone, passing through Chiusa and the Sabiona Monastery, and ending in the southern Isarco Valley.
In the modern factory in Chiusa, about 950 thousand bottles are produced a year.
The elegance, the savory and mineral flavors clearly express the philosophy: “Quality without compromise”. Thanks to the heights of 300 to 980 m, the cool climate and the soils, the conditions are ideal for the cultivation of white berried grapes.
The vineyards in the north are mainly of the Müller Thurgau, Kerner and Riesling type, in the central part Gewürztraminer, Sylvaner, Pinot grigio, and Grüner Veltliner, and in the south Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot bianco, Pinot nero and Schiava.
During the harvest season, cool nights and warm days guarantee fruity and mineral white wines, which represent 95% of the production.
